The picture to your left is Blue Rider, a blues band out of Boyne City, Michigan. That's me on the left, "Lonesome" Charley Smith, the bass player, of course. The guy in the middle is Dave "Fingers" Amato (drums) and last but not least is Jeff "J.D." Dean (lead guitar). The Hog belongs to J.D. We play quite a bit in the northern Michigan area and have produced a CD called Persistently Blue. The disc consists of 11 original songs written by J.D. and myself. This is what I do when I'm not out in Mercenary Territory. | ||||||||||||||||

Here's a more recent picture of the band, taken in early May of 2000. Those goofy things on our knees are beefsteaks, a fungi similar to morel mushrooms that we found while tromping through J.D.'s back yard. No, they're not majic, just weird looking. I got kind of creative with this one, trying to get an olden days sort of feel. By the way, the distinquished gentleman third from the left is Dover Cooper, the latest addition to the band and one hellacious blues harp player. I also might add here that we're working on CD #2, due to be released whenever we darn well feel like it. It promises to be as good as the last, if not better!
